Vintage Brass Chamberstick Spoon Candle Holder
Beautiful vintage piece that would make a unique centerpiece!
Good Vintage Condition
Image living in times where electricity was not an option and you depended solely on candles for your light source.
At one time candles were made of Tallow and later in time made of beeswax, which was a much more reliable source of light because the beeswax burned longer and brighter.
Chamberstick candleholders, which have a dish of some sort underneath the candleholder, would catch any wax that dripped off and the person using it would not get burned as they traveled from room to room during the night hours. Since this was our ancestors primary source of light, whether traveling from room to room or their bedtime reading…the more candles they had the brighter the light in a specific room.
Perfect for anyone who is in an area prone to constant power outages or for your home decor and an appreciation for this specific era in time.
